Watch

Watch continuously monitors the source documents behind your reserved answers. When a source changes, Watch computes how much the change affects your answer and sends a graded alert: informational for minor formatting changes, warning for substantive revisions, and critical for contradictory updates.

You configure Watch when you reserve an answer. Choose a monitoring schedule: on-change for real-time detection, daily for batch-updated sources, or weekly for reference material. Each Watch tracks the specific chunks that contributed to the answer, not the entire document, so alerts are precise about what changed and why it matters.

Watch alerts surface everywhere they are relevant. In Canvas, affected nodes highlight. In the dashboard, alerts appear in your feed sorted by severity. Agents see Watch alerts in their session context when they start work. The verify_before_acting gate checks Watch status before allowing actions that depend on monitored answers.

The alert history for any watched answer shows exactly when changes were detected, what changed, and what action was taken. This is the audit trail that compliance teams need: not just "was this answer correct when generated?" but "was it still correct when acted upon?"
